We weren't prepared but i had a small purse so didn't think I had a problem. Select folks were prepared and brought clear bags for their stuff. Upon entry the usual search of bags, purses, etc was taking place. Watch going to your car at the end since parking lot lighting is not so good.Went to see the SD gulls play. Glad the tickets were cheap because I dropped a small fortune on food. Okay food fare but expect to pay stadium prices ($12.50 for a premium beer!). Imagine that a full concert, like the Garth Brooks one, made things interesting. We had a large crowed last night and honestly getting out of the stadium and back onto I5 was pretty easy compared to other sports traffic that I have been part of or witnessed. Tickets are a little pricey especially those on the glass. Stadium itself is dated, but is pretty clean including the bathooms. Pay lots around the stadium are about $10 and that walk is probably okay. Expect to pay between $15 to $20 for parking which really isn't all that bad. The 'neighborhood' surrounding the arena is beyond eclectic (strip bars and massage parlors among other businesses). Not sure about public transportation, and I sure has heck wouldn't walk there. This is the type of nonsense that make people think twice about going to a family sporting event. Security's attitude was heightened for no reason. I'm not sure what they were hoping to find. I can see if it was a concert then I'd be a little more understanding of the measures practiced. Gross!!! It was very extreme of security to post that type of restriction at a family event. I don't know how he kept it straight because the bags were just sitting at the floor of the Uhaul bad. For $10, I begrudgingly left my purse with this strange man.

Theres a Uhaul truck parked at the back of the stadium, rollup door is up and a guy by himself is collecting bags, handbags, purses. Hell no, not throwing away my purse!!! Smh. Said we couldn't bring the purse in but we could throw it away or check it. We thought ok then we'll empty everything into a friends clear bag. The container was so small an evening bag might fit in it. Security had a container that your purse should fit inside.
